PROFESSIONALISM
The Beta Kappa chapter is known for its professionalism around the UT-Austin campus. The chapter holds many educational professional events each semester. These events include, but are not limited to, hosting distinguished speakers, case competitions, networking events, creating startups, resume building, mock interviewing, industry deep-dives and various educational workshops. Beta Kappa partners with companies and other student organizations to host many of its professional events, which increases the diversity of the attendees beyond Beta Kappa alone.
Start Up- FruitUp
In Spring 2022, the Beta Thetas started their own business, FruitUp, which aimed to provide healthy, customizable, and reasonably priced fruit and food options for those seeking a healthy lifestyle.
They had a three prong solution to the problem: 1) provide fresh and healthy fruit options, 2) make products affordable, customizable, and on-the-go, and 3) engage the local community via social media.
Through the calculated positioning of the fruit stand on Guadalupe near Dollar Slice and raising brand awareness through their marketing efforts, FruitUp quickly became a favorite to the UT population and a desirable cold & fresh product in the Texas heat.
Within a month, FruitUp made $630 profit, served more than 70 unique customers, and reached ~ 5,600 people through social media platforms.

Beta Kappa has seen its brothers snag positions with McKinsey & Co, BCG, Accenture, Deloitte, Microsoft, Apple, Tesla, Meta, Dell, Capital One, Goldman Sachs, Macy’s, Blackstone, Chevron, EY, PWC, KPMG, and many more.
